A Program to Develop Complete Wellness

 

There are certain aspects of martial arts that were created centuries ago to maintain health: balance exercises, circulation exercises, breathing exercises, joint exercises. All this and more were created in order to improve longevity and maintain a higher quality of life.

The Baby Boomers class is for people 45 – 70 years old who want to learn some self-defense skills while learning the specific exercises to improve and maintain health.

This includes a lighter, reduced form of Tang Soo Do style karate for self-defense, Chi Kung for joint and circulation health, Hwang Kee® a form of Tai Chi Chuan for balance and Moo Pahl Dan Kum for lung health. (Interestingly, the lung health exercises were developed around 250 B.C. for the Chinese armies who were terrified of lung disease and are still practiced today.)
